Invitation: Structured Open Dialogue on Youth Employment. On the 27th November 2009, the Council of the European Union adopted a resolution on a renewed framework for European cooperation in the youth field (2010-2018). The central directional purpose of the european cooperation is to secure the right of the young people to actively participate in the formation of youth related policies, through a continued structured dialogue between the young people and the organisations that represent them. During the period from 15 January-15 March 2010 the first phase of national public consultation on youth employment and social inclusion took place with with a second phase of consultation programmed for 1 July-1 September 2010. The aim of the national consultation is to help identify the terms and priorities set at the EU Youth Conference "Youth Employment and social inclusion"organised by the Spanish Presidency of the EU Council on 13-15 April. Therefore, the national Working group will intend to identify through the proccess of an open structured dialogue the priorities that the greek youth considers to correspond to the conclusions drawn during the Youth Conference. The specific objective of the aforementioned initiative is the strengthening of youth participation in the public dialogue, either through personal involvement of through participation in youth groups and organisations. 1. With regard to the improvementof youth integration in the labour market, what policy measures concerning the following issues would you propose: • How can the existing types of information and support be upgraded to facilitate and improve the access to labour market of either a working man or young businessman? • How can we ensure the certification of skills gained during non formal learning and mobility? • How can you better protect our self from the risk of getting involved in precarious conditions and to better secure our access to the social protection? • What measures should be taken to ensure the smooth transition from education to the labour market, including quality traineeship programs (stage)? • How can young people better deal with discrimination when they access quality labour, support measures and information? • How can youth representation in the structures of of social dialogue can be secured? • What measures need to be taken to stenghen the ties between personal and proffesional life?
ONLINE CONSULTATION FOR THE LOCAL YOUTH COUNCILS PHASE II
After the conclusion of the first phase we continue the public dialogue for the essential reformation of the character and the operational frame of the Local Youth Councils, using and developing the tools offered by the internet and the web portal of the General Secretariat for Youth.
